Vehicle Data

Our vehicles are equipped with technology that collects and transmits data (Vehicle Monitoring Systems). This includes information collected from event data recorders, global positioning devices, or any other similar technology. Some or all Vehicle Monitoring Systems functionality will be active during rental periods. When installed and where permissible, Vehicle Monitoring Systems will enable us to collect and use information such as (1) vehicle location information, (2) collision information, and (3) vehicle operation information, such as operational condition, mileage, tire pressure and fuel status and other diagnostic and performance information. Once collected, this information may be combined with information you have provided us and used to generate safety, performance, and other similar information so that we can deliver better services.

We use the information collected from or about you to provide you with our services for the following purposes:
Where it is necessary for us to enter into a contractual agreement with you and provide services to you for the duration of the contract, including:

  • To assist the transactions that you request, such as reserving, renting, or leasing motor vehicles.

Rental Transactions: Data associated with our Rental Agreement is kept for up to 10 years from the date of the rental, subject to other local legal requirements. Records of payments made by you is also kept for 10 years from the date of the transaction.
Customer Service Queries: Based on the nature of your query, this information will be retained for a period of 5 years.
Marketing Purposes: Information is kept for 3 years to inform you of promotions, loyalty programes etc.
Regulatory Requirements: It is required by law for due diligence to be conducted and information to be kept for 7 years should we be involved in litigation or governmental or regulatory investigation.
